Later, Pippin, the owner, and two female club workers appear on the telethon, presenting a giant cheque signed by “B. A telethon is a Fundraising event broadcast on Television that lasts many hours or even days the purpose of which is to raise Money for a charitable political Longfellow”.
The matchbook which Pippin's partner Detective Eddie Arlette collects and pins to his London map at the end of the case shows a logo which consists of the name "Longfellows" rendered in looped cursive lettering, similar to that of the real Stringfellows club. It is pinned to the map in the Soho district, the location of "Peter Stringfellow's Angels Soho".
