Peter Goodall (born 1949) is currently Acting Dean of Humanities at Macquarie University in the absence of Dean Christina Slade. Macquarie University is an Australian public University located in Sydney. His substantive position is Deputy Dean of Humanities and Acting Head of the Politics and International Relations Department.
Goodall specialises in the study of medieval literature especially Chaucer and twentieth-century literature especially George Orwell. Eric Arthur Blair (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950 who used the Pseudonym George Orwell, was an English writer In 1995, he published High Culture, Popular Culture: the Long Debate on the division between high culture and popular culture. He is the joint editor of the Annotated Bibliography of Chaucer's Monk's Tale and Nun's Priest's Tale. He is also working on a cultural and literary study of the concept of privacy.
