Pelagio Galvani[1] (b. ca. 1165, Guimaraes, d. Guimarães (gimɐˈɾɐ̃j̃ʃ is a city and municipality in northwestern Portugal in the province of Minho and in the district of Braga January 29, 1240, Montecassino) was a Portuguese Benedictine, Cardinal, and canon lawyer. Although he did not subscribe any papal bulls issued after January 26, 1230, it can be explained by the fact that he probably retired to the abbey of Montecassino in the last years of his life.
