In Astronomy, an epoch is a moment in time used as a reference for the Orbital elements of a Celestial body. The Shapley–Sawyer Concentration Class is a classification system on a scale of one to twelve using Roman numerals for Globular clusters according to their concentration In common usage a constellation is a group of celestial bodies that are connected together in some arrangement typically stars to form a visible figure or picture Capricornus ( Latin for "horned (male Goat " or "goat horn " is one of the Constellations of the Zodiac. Palomar 12 is a globular cluster in the constellation Capricornus that belongs to the halo of the Milky Way galaxy. A globular cluster is a spherical collection of Stars that orbits a galactic core as a Satellite. This is a list of Globular clusters. The apparentmagnitude does not include an extinction correction A globular cluster is a spherical collection of Stars that orbits a galactic core as a Satellite. In common usage a constellation is a group of celestial bodies that are connected together in some arrangement typically stars to form a visible figure or picture Capricornus ( Latin for "horned (male Goat " or "goat horn " is one of the Constellations of the Zodiac. The Milky Way (a translation of the Latin Via Lactea, in turn derived from the Greek Γαλαξίας (Galaxias sometimes referred to simply First discovered on the Palomar Survey Sky plates by Robert G. Harrington and Fritz Zwicky,[5] it was catalogued as a globular cluster. Robert G Harrington was an American Astronomer who worked at Palomar Observatory. Fritz Zwicky ( February 14 1898 &ndash February 8 1974) was an American-based Swiss Astronomer of Bulgarian origin However Zwicky came to believe this was actually a nearby dwarf galaxy in the Local Group. The Local Group is the group of galaxies that includes our galaxy the Milky Way. It is a relatively young cluster, being about 30% younger than most of the globular clusters in the Milky Way. [2] It is metal-rich with a metallicity of [Fe/H] ~= -0. In Astronomy and Physical cosmology, the metallicity of an object is the proportion of its matter made up of Chemical elements other than Hydrogen 8. [4] It has an average luminosity distribution of Mv = -4. 48. [6]

Based on proper motion studies, this cluster was first suspected in 2000 to have been captured from the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy about 1. The proper motion of a Star is the measurement of its change in position in the sky over time after Improper motions are accounted for The Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy ( SagDEG) is an elliptically looped shaped Satellite galaxy of the Milky Way Galaxy. 7 Gyr ago. [7] Its membership is now generally believed (Cohen 2004, Sbordone et al. 2006). [4]
