During the fall of Yugoslavia, and the establishment of an Independent Macedonian republic in the early nineties, Palair Macedonian airlines was created. Year 1996 ( MCMXCVI) was a Leap year starting on Monday (link will display full 1996 Gregorian calendar) Jat Airways is the national Airline of Serbia and the former national carrier of Yugoslavia, based in Belgrade. Therefore Palair Macedonian stopped its flying operation in September 1996.
