Paizo formerly published Dragon and Dungeon magazines,[1] both published under license from Wizards of the Coast. The company began producing a bimonthly magazine called Undefeated (now defunct) in 2003,[7] and in 2004 resurrected the venerable science fiction title Amazing Stories. Amazing Stories was an American Science fiction magazine launched in April 1926 by Hugo Gernsback 's Experimenter Publishing. Paizo announced on 18 March 2008 that they would be launching the Pathfinder RPG. According to statements from the Publisher and the CEO, Paizo intends to modify, update, maintain, and publish the 3. 5 SRD in the Pathfinder RPG (via WotC's OGL). Paizo does this in the belief that Dungeons and Dragons v. 3. 5 will no longer be published or supported by WotC. The Pathfinder RPG also supports their campaign setting, Pathfinder. One of the stated primary goals of the Pathfinder RPG is backwards compatibility with all previously generated 3. 5 materials.
