(921?-1005? was an onmyōji, a leading specialist of Onmyōdō during the middle of the Heian Period in Japan. He was befriended by bungling court noble Minamoto no Hiromasa, who enlists his aid to defend the Heian emperor. was a nobleman and Gagaku musician in the Heian period. He was the eldest son of Prince Katsuakira and the grandson of Emperor Daigo. Meanwhile, the onmyoji Doson is plotting the downfall of the emperor, attempting to frame Seimei in the process while unleashing a horde of youkai to do his bidding. is a traditional Japanese Esoteric cosmology, a mixture of Natural science and Occultism.
