Old Alleynian is the official title given to former pupils of Dulwich College. Dulwich College is an independent selective fee-paying public school for boys in Dulwich, a suburb of south-east London United Kingdom Named after Edward Alleyn, the school's founder, the title is often abbreviated to O. Edward Alleyn (ˈælɪn ( 1 September 1566 &ndash 25 November 1626) was an English Actor who was a major figure of the A. as post nominal letters in brackets in publications relating to the school.

Rugby team

There is an Old Alleynian Football Club which is steeped in tradition. It was formed in 1898 and uses the term 'Football' as opposed to 'Rugby' in its name. The club was formed by and for former pupils of Dulwich College.

The team are based on Dulwich Common and are involved in league rugby. They have reached as high as London first division and have also been finalists in the Surrey Cup three times, winning twice.

In 2003, the Old Alleynians beat Shipston upon Stour 16 -10 in the final of the Powergen Junior Vase, held at Twickenham. Twickenham is a suburb in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, in south west London. This was the same year that saw the club lose half of its clubhouse, destroyed in a fire.

U18 Side

Currently the Under-18 side have been unbeaten for 2 years and are seeking a second grand slam title in 2 years. They recently beat with Cranleigh U18 side 67-0 to continue their undefeated record. Star players include Dulwich College and Surrey Under-18 Captain Will Morton-Hooper, Irish Exile Fergus Knox, Surrey Under-18 prop and Jamaican junior sprint champion Josh Grant-Butler, current Captain Tom Pickett, centre Harry "Bicep" Chalet, winger Dominick " Quiksilver" Peter, top try scorer at both Old Alleynians and Wilsons Grammar School. Also in the team is the well known Argentinian bean called Martin Rueda.
