Apart from the name and owner, the group is not a network in the traditional sense. Each station has its own set of DJs with very little syndicating between stations; only a national Top 40 Charts show and the Drive shift in Sydney and Melbourne are networked 'live to air' (the Drive show is later relayed to Adelaide and Perth on delay due to time differences).
Nova promotes that it 'Sounds Different' by playing a broad mix of contemporary pop, rock, RnB and dance music with a promise of 'Never more than 2 ads in a row', however this only applies to paid advertising spots.
