Biography

Early life

Cannon was born in San Diego, California, the son of Beth Gardner (née Hackett), an accountant, and James Cannon, a televangelist who hosted a public access TV ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina. California ( is a US state on the West Coast of the United States, along the Pacific Ocean. Televangelism is the use of Television to communicate the Christian faith [1][2] As a child, Cannon divided his time between living with mother and grandmother in San Diego and with his father in Charlotte. He began performing at age eight,[3] and at the age of eleven, he landed a spot on his father's cable access program performing stand-up comedy. Stand-up comedy is a style of comedy where the performer speaks directly to the audience with the absence of the theatrical " Fourth wall " [4] Cannon then formed "Da Bomb Squad", a rap duo with his best friend Steve Groves. Together, they opened for the likes of Will Smith, LFO, 98 Degrees, and Montell Jordan. Lyte Funky Ones ( LFO) was an American three-man pop / Rap group consisting of Rich Cronin, Devin Lima (born Harold Lima March 18 Montell Jordan is an American R&B Singer-songwriter and Record producer.
