Nesscliffe is a village in Shrewsbury and Atcham borough in Shropshire, England. History The borough was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972 when the Municipal borough of Shrewsbury Shropshire (ˈʃrɒpʃɪə/ /-ʃə alternatively known as Salop or abbreviated in print only Shrops, is a county in the England is a Country which is part of the United Kingdom. Its inhabitants account for more than 83% of the total UK population whilst its mainland

The A5 road runs around the village on a new dual-carriageway by-pass and nearby is a small British Army base. The British Army is the land armed forces branch of the British Armed Forces.

It is also the site of a cave used by the highwayman, Humphrey Kynaston.
