At Destination X 2008 LAX got back in the title picture by defeating The Motor City Machine Guns and The Rock 'n Rave Infection of Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave in a #1 contender's match. The Motor City Machine Guns are a Professional wrestling Tag team consisting of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Lance Hoyt (born February 27, 1977 in Hearne Texas) is an American professional wrestler, currently working for Total Nonstop James Guffey (born December 8, 1982) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his Ring name, Jimmy Rave. In 2008 L. A. X. got another title shot by beating The Rock 'n Rave Infection and The Motor City Machineguns at Destination X and was cashed in on the 4/17/08 edition of iMPACT against the Tag Team Champions A. J. Styles and Tomko and the team that won Cuffed in a Cage at Lockdown, Eric Young/Super Eric and Kaz. At the end of the match Super Eric and Kaz won but the decision was revoked due to Eric Young and Super Eric not being the same person and apparently was considered outside interferance when Young left and came back as Super Eric for the win. On the May 11th pay-per-view Sacrifice , LAX won the vacant TNA Tag Titles after defeating Team 3D in the "Deuces Wild Tag Team Championship Tournament". On the 15 of May LAX defeated the Motor City Machine Guns in a non-title match.
