Oy Nautor AB is a Finnish producer of high class sailing yachts, based in Jakobstad. Finland, officially the Republic of Finland ( is a Nordic country situated in the Fennoscandian region of northern Europe. A yacht is a recreational boat It designates two rather different classes of Watercraft, sailing and power yachts Jakobstad in Swedish, or Pietarsaari in Finnish, is a town and municipality in Ostrobothnia, Finland. It is known for its Swan line of fiberglass yacht. Fiberglass (also called fibreglass and glass fibre see Spelling differences) is material made from extremely fine Fibers of Glass. The company was founded in 1966 by Pekka Koskenkylä.

Koskenkylä's intention was to build the first 10m yacht capable of both cruising and racing, using a fiberglass mould. At the heart of his concept was quality, the core focus of Nautor's production process throughout its history. Series production was considered key to the success of the venture and precise, logistical organisation was paramount at an early stage.
