Moshe Dayan was born on Kibbutz Degania Alef near the shores of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) in pre-Mandate Palestine. His legacy

Dayan was very complicated and controversial; his opinions were never strictly black and white. They managed to dig him out alive, but due to possible oxygen deficientcy in his brain, he remained with a speech impairment during the rest of his life, as well as with a partially paralyzed hand.
