Miro Ruiz Delgado (born January 28, 1970) is a Peruvian politician. Peru (Perú Piruw Piruw officially the Republic of Peru ( reˈpuβlika del peˈɾu is a country in western South America. He is currently a Congressman representing Huancavelica for the period 2006-2011, and belongs to the Union for Peru party. The Congress of the Republic (Congreso de la República is the name given to Peru 's unicameral legislature under the current (1993 constitution. Huancavelica is a Region in Peru. Area 2213147 km² Population 447054 ( 2005 census) Year 2006 ( MMVI) was a Common year starting on Sunday of the Gregorian calendar. 2011 ( MMXI) will be a Common year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar. Union for Peru (Unión por el Perú was originally a liberal or centrist Political party in Peru.

On May 26, 2008, Ruiz was reported to Congress by his neighbor, Nina Ventura de Cardenas, after having allegedly shot and killed her 18-month-old schnauzer, Matias. A schnauzer (plural schnauzers) is a German dog type which originated in Germany in the 1400s and 1500s He denied the charges, claiming the dog had been harassing ducks on his property. His shooting of the dog is being reviewed by a congressional ethics committee.

Both live in the Chaclacayo suburb of Lima.

On May 27th, Ruiz admitted to having accidentally killed the dog "Matias" and apologized for his behavior. He also acknowledged his lie, saying that he had been pressured by the "calumnies" directed against him.
