Kennedy specialised in police mysteries, but also wrote about the adventures of Sir George Bull, a professional private investigator. He also collaborated with other members of The Detection Club on The Floating Admiral and Ask a Policeman. The Detection Club was formed in 1930 by a group of British mystery writers including Agatha Christie, Dorothy L The Floating Admiral is a collaborative detective novel written by members of the Detection Club in 1931. Ask a Policeman is a 1939 British Comedy Film starring Will Hay. His series characters are Sir George Bull and Inspector Cornford.
