Summerbee made his league debut playing for Swindon Town in 1959 at the age of 16. Nicky Summerbee (born 26 August 1971 in Manchester) is an English footballer who is currently unattached Mike's father, George, and uncle, Gordon, were both lower division players whose careers were affected by the outbreak of war.
