Early life

Rourke was born in Schenectady, New York, the son of Ann and Philip Andre Rourke, Sr. Schenectady (skəˈnɛktədi Θkahnéhtati in Tuscarora) is a City in Schenectady County, New York, United States , who was an amateur body builder. Rourke's political views came under fire when he claimed to have donated part of his salary from the 1989 film, Francesco, to the Provisional Irish Republican Army.
