Mick Weaver, also known during the 1960s as Wynder K Frog, has appeared as a studio musician playing the Hammond organ and keyboards on several albums over a period of four decades, as well as releasing solo albums. The Hammond organ is an electric organ which was invented by Laurens Hammond in 1934 and manufactured by the Hammond Organ Company His "Wynder K Frog" band was extremely popular on the student union and club circuit of the mid-sixties and a brief merging of this band with "Herbie Goins and the Nighttimers" met even more acclaim. Mick was not comfortable in the role of band leader and he seemed happier when the spotlight was on other musicians whilst he delivered keyboard support. Weaver's work includes appearances on albums for David Gilmour playing Piano in So Far Away from Gilmour's First Solo Album, Herbie Goins, Joe Cocker, Eric Burdon, Frankie Miller, Keef Hartley, Roger Chapman, Otis Grand, Taj Mahal, and others. David Jon Gilmour CBE (born 6 March 1946 is an English Musician, best known as the Lead guitarist one of the lead Singers Joe Cocker OBE (born 20 May 1944 is an English rock / Blues Singer who came to popularity in the 1960s and is most known for his gritty Eric Victor Burdon (born 11 May 1941, Walker, Newcastle upon Tyne) is the former lead singer of The Animals and War Frankie Miller (born Francis John Miller 2 November 1949) is a Scottish rock Singer-songwriter, who had success in the 1970s Keef Hartley (born April 8, 1944 in Preston England) is a British musician Roger Chapman (born Roger Maxwell Chapman on Henry Saint Clair Fredericks (born May 17, 1942) who goes by the Stage name Taj Mahal, is an internationally recognized Blues musician Weaver replaced Steve Winwood for a short while in Traffic when the latter left the band to join Eric Clapton and form the supergroup Blind Faith; however, he did not record with that band. The show puts together five Heavy metal musicians packed into a large mansion that must play a show after Blind Faith were an English blues-rock band that consisted of Eric Clapton

One of British rock's relatively-unsung heroes of the Hammond B3 organ, he is a supreme master of the instrument, particularly in blues/funk modes. Though much of his work has been relatively low profile as a session musician, or onstage on keyboards behind better known musicians, he released three albums under his stage name, as well as a number of singles. The "Sunshine Superfrog" album, originally released as a small run in 1967, has never been re-released and is now a rare collector's item.
