Tait started his career as an apprentice at Oxford scoring 23 goals in 64 league appearances before moving on to Carlisle for £65,000 in 1977. Also 1977 (album by Ash. Victoria Park is a 7691 capacity football ground in Hartlepool, Northern England and it is the home of Hartlepool United. He hung up his boots up and retired as a player 1998 and as well as his playing career being over so was his management one a year later in 1999 when he was sacked by Hartlepool.
