Good hearted and good natured Michael worked as a photographer at the House of Gianni, a fashion house located in Los Angeles. He had a crush on model Nikki Clark, but knows that she is in love with William Chandler, who was the father of her fetus. After Maria's death, a home invasion led by mobster Eddie Zarouvian led up to a gun fight which had Michael and Nikki injured. Luke spotted them both near death on the floor. Michael underwent surgery and pulled through. Nikki was injured by the door flying open. Both recovered although Michael was in a wheelchair, and they returned to their normal lives.
