Menzonio is a village and former municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The district of Vallemaggia is a district of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. It was first recorded in year 1364 as Menzone.

The municipality had 315 inhabitants in 1669, which declined to 149 in 1795. It increased again, to 177 in 1850 and 190 in 1900, before dropping again to 128 in 1950, to 70 in 1990 and 73 in 2000.

In 2004 the municipality was merged with the other, neighboring municipalities Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Peccia and Prato-Sornico to form a new and larger municipality Lavizzara.
