Maylandia hajomaylandi is a species of fish in the Cichlidae family. Christian Erich Hermann von Meyer ( September 3, 1801 - April 2, 1869) was a German Palaeontologist. Fish are aquatic Vertebrate animals that are typically ectothermic (previously Cold-blooded) covered with scales, and equipped with two Cichlids (ˈsɪklɪd are Fish from the family Cichlidae in the order Perciformes. It is endemic to Lake Malawi, Africa, where it is only know to occur around Chizumulu Island. Endemism is the Ecological state of being unique to a place Endemic species are not naturally found elsewhere Lake Malawi (also known as Lake Nyasa, Lake Nyassa, Lake Niassa, and Lago Niassa in Mozambique) is the most southerly Lake Chizumulu Island is the smaller of two inhabited islands in Lake Malawi, the larger being the nearby Likoma island which together make up the Likoma District
