The Maybach Mb. Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH (ˈmaɪbax (founded 1909 is a German luxury car manufacturer IVa was a six-cylinder, water-cooled, inline aircraft engine developed in Germany during World War I originally to power airships and large aircraft, with high-altitude performance specifically in mind. World War I (abbreviated WWI; also known as the First World War, the Great War, and the War to End All It had three different carburettor settings, each optimised for performance at different altitudes and developed 180 kW (245 hp).
