Dr. Mark I. Miravalle, S. T. D. , husband, permanent deacon, and father of eight, began teaching at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1986. Franciscan University of Steubenville is a Catholic institution located in Steubenville Ohio, 40 miles west of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He is President of the international Catholic movement Vox Populi Mariae Mediatrici[1] (Voice of the People for Mary Mediatrix), a Roman Catholic movement which seeks the solemn papal definition of the Spiritual Maternity of the Mother of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, as Coredemptrix, Mediatrix of All Graces, and Advocate for the People of God. Dr. Miravalle has given talks at many conferences and has often appeared on television, making appearances on EWTN, Fox News, and on Dateline. Currently Dr. Miravalle’s occupation is that of a full Professor of Theology at Franciscan University. His area of specialization is Mariology and Spiritual Theology. Mariology is the theological study of Mary which methodically presents teachings about her to other parts of the faith such as teachings about Jesus Christ, redemption His academic awards received are the Columbia Devlin Award, Teacher of the Year, Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1987, 1993, 1997, and 1998. He currently publishes a bi-monthly Marian e-zine, Mother of All Peoples. [3]

Dr. Miravalle received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the University of San Francisco. University of San Francisco ( USF) is a private Jesuit Roman Catholic University in San Francisco California. He then received his Masters of Arts from the St. Ignatius Institute Catholic Great Books Program, also through the University of San Francisco. From there he went on to study at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome where he received both a Licentiate of Sacred Theology and also there earned his Doctor of Sacred Theology.
