He served in elected office on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors from 2000-2003, and was the Town Attorney for Lovettsville from 1992-1999. He is the principal with The Herring Law Firm, P. C. , in Leesburg, Virginia. His practice includes business and corporate law, civil litigation, land use law, municipal law, wills, trusts, and estates. He is admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.
