Marcelo Loffreda (born May 17, 1959 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a rugby player and coach, until recently head coach for the English club power Leicester Tigers. Loffreda got sacked from his job as managing director at Leicester on the 6th June 2008, after just one season at the club. Although reaching two finals (EDF energy and guiness premiership) he was sacked due to poor results. Leicester only just reached the premiership playoffs and heineken cup qualification, from a club of this standard this was seen as unacceptable.
