In the manga, Robert's Griffolyon beyblade is a "Hidden Spirits" model that transforms into his beyblade like the Takara/Hasbro version.

His special attack is Wing Dagger. Robert's bitbeast is rumored to be set in armor, which makes it very hard for another beyblader to defeat. His bitbeast is also very large in size. Robert first meets and defeats Tyson on a cruise ship, after defeating a mass amount of amateur Beybladers first.

He despises anything 'uncouth', and is very uppity. Robert is the descendant of a long rein of knights and is proud of his heritage. His family own a huge castle in the middle of Germany, surrounded by acres of forests. He believes that team work is unnecessary and only for the weak.
