Lubberts effect refers to the non-uniform response of an imaging system to x-rays that are absorbed at different depths within the input phosphor. X-radiation (composed of X-rays) is a form of Electromagnetic radiation. A phosphor is a substance that exhibits the phenomenon of Phosphorescence (sustained glowing after exposure to energized particles such as Electrons It indicates an input phosphor depth-dependent response of the imaging system.
