We witnessed our rise as a band and the fall of a very close friend. We've watched people with the power of influence choose to look at integrity as an obstacle rather than a way of life. Where we chose to remain silent, we watched others choose speculation. In other words we've seen a great deal in a short time. We have seen the front lines of change and deception and we've managed to make it through the storm once again. With change comes the will to adapt or the vision of failure. This is a hard business to be in if your looking for glory. We chose to adapt! With the loss of our original bass player came hope, bitterness, and confusion. The hope came in the form of Mr. Ryan Sinn. Ryan Sinn (born 23 April 1979 in Fremont California, USA is the former Bassist for the alternative rock band Angels & Airwaves We became mobile again through that storm and made our way to the clearing. It was a short lived, but very appreciative run as he had to move on to bigger and better things, as did we. He will be missed, but has made it clear that he is just a phone call away. Seeming down, but not out came another blessing of unexpected surprise. My friend Sean Jordon had been doing merch for us and is a known bass player from my home town of Ukiah, CA stepped up to the plate and went to Europe with us as fill-in only to be crowned The LED Bassman. Ukiah (pronounced You-kai-uh juːˈkаɪjə is the County seat and largest city of Mendocino County California. We welcome him as his skills proved to be a perfect fit for this group.
Without hesitation, we returned home with much enthusiasm and writing in our hearts, but we needed something. We couldn't quite get what it was. things seemed to work up until now, but what was it. We played what appeared to be a ton of shows, but couldn't seem to put our finger on what was missing. Well, during the last week of practice we figured it out. His name is Bryan Kelly-Holden. He will be playing rhythm guitar to give our lead man, Duffs the foundation he needs to shred like he's always wanted. We have witnessed a lot of change and we have kept our minds and spirits open. We look forward to the road ahead and we look forward to seeing our true fans and friends out there who I personally know are the best any band can dream of. We will be taking this new energy into the studio mid-April for what we anticipate as being our best recordings yet. See you at the shows. Love Your Humble Writer, Chon D. Travis |
