The Limici were an ancient Celtic tribe of Gallaecia, living in the swamps of the river Lima, in the border region between Minho (Portugal) and Galicia (Spain). Celts (ˈkɛlts or /ˈsɛlts/, see Names of the Celts Gallaecia or Callaecia was the name of a Roman province that comprised Ponte de Lima ( pron 'põt(ɨ dɨ 'limɐ is a town of 2800 inhabitants and also a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 320 Portugal, officially the Portuguese Republic (República Portuguesa is a country on the Iberian Peninsula. Galicia (occasionally Galiza) is an autonomous community in northwest Spain.
