Lila Rajiva is a freelance journalist and Baltimore, Maryland resident. She was born in India and emigrated to the US. She holds two Master's degrees, one of them in politics, from Johns Hopkins University. She has taught at the University of Marylandand was a contributing editorfor Bill Bonner's column at The Daily Reckoningin 2006-07.

Ms. Rajiva has written over one hundred articles that can be found in print magazines, such as The Hindu, Forbes, The Washington Post, Himal South Asia, India West, as well as on web publications, such as CounterPunch, DissidentVoice, Doublestandards. The book examines the place of Iraqi prisoner torture in U. S. culture and politics. It was the first study of the media's role in the scandal and the first book to draw attention to the torture of Iraqi women. It connects the policy of torture to the financialization of the economy.

Co-author:

The book details mob delusions and explains why they continually arise. It continues her analysis of propaganda in politics and the markets, especially the financialization of the economy in the US and abroad.
