Liga Gimmel (Hebrew: 'ליגה ג, C League) is the sixth tier of the Israeli football league system. The Israeli football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Israel.
The league is comprised of six divisions. Previously there had been twelve divisions in the league, but the collapse of many of the teams led to a readjustment of the divisions. Divisions which no longer exist include:
- Liga Gimel Western Galilee Division
- Liga Gimel Bay Area Division
- Liga Gimel Haifa Area division
- Liga Gimel Gush Dan Division
- Liga Gimel Southern Division (merged with Liga Gimel Central Division)
- Liga Gimel Negev Division
The top team from each division is promoted to Liga Bet (the fifth level) at the end of the season. "Galil" redirects here For the weapon see IMI Galil. Beitar Nes Tubruk, a club based in Netanya currently competes in the Liga Gimel Sharon Division. Beitar Nes Tubruk Netanya ( Hebrew: בית"ר נס טוברוק נתניה formerly Beitar Netanya, is a football club in Netanya, The Sharon Plain (שרון is the northern half of the coastal plain of Israel. In 1987, it competed in Liga Leumit then the premier league. Liga Gimel Central-South
The Liga Gimel Central-South Division was created as a merger between the Liga Gimel Central Division anf the Liga Gimel Southern Division. The merge was necessary because many of the teams that had competed in the Liga Gimel Southern Division disbanded. The top two teams in this division are promoted to Liga Bet Southern 2 Division for the following season, while the bottom two teams from Liga Bet Southern 2 Division are demoted to this league.
Maccabi Rehovot currently competes in the Liga Gimel Central-South Division. It competed in Israel's top division throughout the 1950s.
