New Holland
New Holland is an densly populated community in Hyde County, North Carolina, located along the southern shore of Lake Mattamuskeet. Hyde County is a County located in the US state of North Carolina. [1] In 1911, three investors envisioned the task of draining Lake Mattamuskeet to create more farmlands in the area. Year 1911 ( MCMXI) was a Common year starting on Sunday (link will display the full calendar of the Gregorian calendar (or a Common year The investors created a nearby community,[2] which was named New Holland, after the similar water projects of Holland. Holland is a region in the western part of the Netherlands.
