Ladytron is an electronic pop band originally based in Liverpool, England, although members originate from Sofia and Glasgow as well as Liverpool itself. Liverpool ( is a City and Metropolitan borough of Merseyside, England along the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary England is a Country which is part of the United Kingdom. Velocifero is the fourth studio album from Ladytron and their first to be released by their new label Nettwerk. Nettwerk is a large Vancouver British Columbia based Record label and music management firm Ladytron tours extensively around the world, both with live shows and DJ sets.

Ladytron formed in the summer of 1999, Wu and Hunt already being friends, and meeting Marnie and Aroyo. Reuben Wu was born in 1975 in Liverpool, England and is a member of British Electropop band Ladytron. Daniel Hunt is a member of the Electropop band Ladytron and is from Liverpool, England. They began recording tracks for their debut album, 604, shortly after. 604 is the debut album by British Electropop band Ladytron. It was released in 2001 on Emperor Norton Records. The album was released in early 2001 on the Emperor Norton/Invicta HIFI labels to critical acclaim, by which time their single "Playgirl" was bringing them some national and international attention.
The follow up, Light & Magic, was released in Autumn 2002 to wider exposure, and spawned the underground hits "Seventeen", "Evil", and "Blue Jeans". Light & Magic is the second album by British Electropop band Ladytron. Evil is the 8th single by the music group Ladytron. It was released in 2003 and reached a position of #44 on the UK Singles Chart. Following 18 months on tour supporting that album, they recorded their third album, Witching Hour, in early 2004. Ladytron makes electronic pop music, using an array of vintage analogue equipment to achieve its distinct sound. Albums so far have focused on a balance between pop structures and digitally edited analogue electronic sound, along with some more experimental leanings. All four members write songs differently, which adds to the eclectic nature of their albums. Their third album, Witching Hour, saw an augmentation of their sound, leading the album to be described by Pitchfork as a "quantum leap record".
