Kim Rossi Stuart was born in Rome. His father, Giacomo, was also an actor. His mother was a former top model.
He began acting at the age of 5. He studied theatre and in 1986 began acting regularly, especially on TV productions like Fantaghirò and for the cinema with a small role in The Name of the Rose.
