Kevin Steen made his CZW debut on September 11th, 2004 at an event called High Stakes. Kevin Steen has found a great deal of popularity and success now in ROH. Thanks to an unorthodox tag team with El Generico and an highly rated tag team feud with the Briscoe Brothers. The feud was highlighted on ROH's first PPV's and featured some of the best tag team wrestling the company has ever put forth. The two teams competed in Ring of Honor's first ever ladder match which left fans giving the four men a standing ovation.
