She won the 1979 European Junior Championships,[1] finished fourth at the 1982 European Indoor Championships[2] and fifth at the inaugural 1983 World Championships. The 13th European Indoor Championships in Athletics were held in Milan, a city in Italy, in 1982. She represented the sports club SC Empor Rostock, and won bronze medals at the East German championships in 1979, 1987 and 1988. [3]
