She won the 1979 European Junior Championships,[1] finished fourth at the 1982 European Indoor Championships[2] and fifth at the inaugural 1983 World Championships. The 13th European Indoor Championships in Athletics were held in Milan, a city in Italy, in 1982. These are the official results of the Women's High Jump event at the 1983 IAAF World Championships in Helsinki Finland. She represented the sports club SC Empor Rostock, and won bronze medals at the East German championships in 1979, 1987 and 1988. [3]
