She and her second husband, Damon Knight, mentored many authors and helped to establish the Clarion Writers Workshop and the Milford Writer's Workshop. Damon Francis Knight ( September 19, 1922 &ndash April 15, 2002) was an American Science fiction Author, Clarion is a six-week workshop for new and aspiring Science fiction and Fantasy writers The Milford Writer's Workshop is an influential East Coast Science fiction writer's workshop founded by Damon Knight.
