The Kansas City Chorale is a professional 24-voice chorus conducted by Charles Bruffy. Charles Bruffy (b 1958 is a noted American choral conductor He is artistic director of the Kansas City Chorale and the Phoenix Bach Choir and is Chorus Director of the They perform an annual concert series in Kansas City and a concert in Phoenix each year with their sister choir, the Phoenix Bach Choir, also conducted by Mr. The Phoenix Bach Choir is the former name of the GRAMMY® winning Phoenix Chorale a professional chamber choir based out of Phoenix, Arizona, United Bruffy. During his tenure as conductor, the chorus has achieved international acclaim. Mr. Bruffy, renowned for his fresh interpretations of both traditional and new music, was noted by the New York Times as an apparent successor to the late Robert Shaw.
