John S. Lewis is a professor of planetary science at the University of Arizona’s Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. Planetary science, also known as planetology and closely related to planetary astronomy, is the Science of Planets or Planetary systems The University of Arizona (also referred to as UA, U of A, or Arizona) is a Land-grant and space-grant public institution His interests in the chemistry and formation of the solar system and the economic development of space have made him a leading proponent of turning potentially hazardous near-Earth objects into attractive space resources.
