Early life

Joe was born in Florida on September 1, 1984. Joe began playing guitar at age 9. His family moved to Ohio when he was very young. He lived in South Russel and attended Chagrin Falls Schools. He then moved to Chicago when he was about 12 years old. Joe became friends with Pete Wentz soon after the family's move to Illinois. He met and quickly befriended Patrick Stump in a local Borders book shop (see below).

Appearances

Joe Trohman made an appearance on MTV's Cribs along with his younger brother, Sam Trohman, who was wearing a Canadian tuxedo while grilling a fake lemon in the infamous episode under the alias Clyde Phillips. He had shown MTV what the tour bus looked like during the Honda Civic Tour. MTV ( Music Television) is an American Cable television network based in New York City. The Honda Civic Tour is an annual Concert tour, sponsored by Honda Motor Company which began in 2001. Joe has also appeared (with the other members of Fall Out Boy) on the Tonight Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, the Jimmy Kimmel Show, One Tree Hill, Late night with Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live, the Today Show, the Ellen Degeneres Show, Regis and Kelly, MTV's Total Request Live and Punk'd.

Career

In 2001, Trohman formed the band Fall Out Boy along with close friend Pete Wentz. Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III (born June 5, 1979) is an American Musician and Songwriter, most famous for his work with the Each had been active in the Chicago hardcore scene and Joe had filled in as a bassist during a tour with Wentz' band Arma Angelus. Joe met Patrick Stump in a Borders Bookstore,[1] and after bonding over a mutual interest in the band Neurosis, he convinced Stump to audition for the band. Patrick Stump (born Patrick Martin Stumph on April 27, 1984 in Glenview Illinois) is an American Musician, Composer Neurosis is an experimental metal band based out of Oakland, California. [2]. Two other Chicago musicians were recruited; T. J. Raccine on guitar and a drummer simply credited as Mike. These two only participated for a very short time. The subsequent addition of drummer Andy Hurley completed the current quartet.

Equipment

Trohman has used many guitars during his career. In the Take This To Your Grave days, he was seen using the Gibson Les Paul guitars. Take This to Your Grave is the debut release from Fall Out Boy on Fueled by Ramen (second full-length in total released on May 6, During From Under The Cork Tree, Joe mainly used Fender Telecasters. From Under the Cork Tree is the third full-length Album from Fall Out Boy and their major label debut on Island Records. The Fender Telecaster, also known as the Tele (pronounced Telly is typically a dual-pickup solid-body Electric guitar made by Fender. Currently, Joe Trohman is endorsed by Washburn Guitars, with whom he has his own custom shop models. [3] He used the guitars often on the "Black Clouds and Underdogs" Tour. As seen during the American Grammys, Joe used guitars based on the Infinity On High graphics. Infinity on High is Fall Out Boy 's fourth Studio album. It is the follow up to their 2005 album From Under the Cork Tree His main guitar now is his own Washburn signature model. His backups are sometimes stock Pilsens and stock Idol 66PROs.
