Career

Jimmy Golden started wrestling in 1968 in his father's (Billy Golden) territory in Alabama. Alabama (formally the State of Alabama;) is a State located in the southern region of the United States of America. During the 1970s, he wrestled under the name of Roy Lee Welch. He started teaming with his cousin Robert Fuller in the 1970s and they still team on the independent circuit as of 2005. Robert Fuller (born Robert Welch on May 14 1951) is a Professional wrestler and manager. Golden also wrestled in the early 1970 in Australia for Jim Barnett. Among their feuds during this time were The Rock 'N Roll Express, Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers, Tommy & Johnny Rich and Kerry & Kevin Von Erich. Jimmy Golden and Robert Fuller were members of the Stud's Stable, managed by Ron Fuller in Southeastern Championship Wrestling, later Continental Championship Wrestling, throughout the early 1980s.
