Jason Chatfield ([b. Perth, 1984]-) is an Australian editorial and comic strip cartoonist and stand-up comedian, based in Melbourne, Victoria. Cartooning legend Paul Rigby set up meetings for Chatfield with some of the world's best cartoonists when he flew to New York in 2006. This led to Chatfield meeting such cartooning royalty as Mort Drucker (MAD Magazine), Tom Richmond (MAD Magazine), Sy Barry (The Phantom), Stan Goldberg (Archie), Bill Gallo (New York Daily News),Nancy Beimann (Disney), Bunny Hoest and John Reiner (Howard Huge/Laugh Parade), Rick Stromoski (Mullets), Arnie Roth (The New Yorker) amongst several others.
Chatfield took over writing and drawing the iconic internationally syndicated comic strip Ginger Meggs in 2007, becoming the strip's fifth artist, succeeding James Kemsley (a close friend and mentor).
