James Koskei (born 23 November 1968 in Eldoret) is a Kenyan runner. Nowadays he runs marathons. The marathon is a long-distance foot race with an official distance of 42 His personal record, 2:14:02, was run at the 2007 Dubai Marathon where he placed 9th. The Dubai Marathon (official name Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon) is an annual Marathon running race held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates At the 2007 Boston Marathon, he finished 4th. The Boston Marathon is an annual marathon sporting event hosted by the city of Boston, Massachusetts

He is a former football player. He started running in 1995 when he joined the Kenyan Army. He is married to Joyce and has three children [2].
