Jacob Kamm was a prominent businessman in the U.S. state of Oregon in the 1800s. He was a founder of the Oregon Steam Navigation Company and a shareholder in the Ilwaco Railway and Navigation Company. The Oregon Steam Navigation Company (OSN was an American company Incorporated in 1860 in Portland in the U The Ilwaco Railway and Navigation Company operated a Narrow gauge railroad ran for over forty years from the bar of the Columbia River up the Long Beach Peninsula He built steamboats including in 1891, the Ocean Wave and in 1900, Athlon. Construction Athlon was built in Portland Oregon by the JH Johnston yard One of the companies he owned was called the Vancouver Transportation Company. [1]
