Jack Bogdanski is a professor of law at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, in the United States. Lewis and Clark Law School (L&C aka Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College, is a private American law school located in Portland Oregon. Bogdanski is a former member of the Commissioner's Advisory Group of the U. S. Internal Revenue Service. He is the author of the treatise Federal Tax Valuation (ISBN 978-0791326008), and the editor-in-chief of the journal Valuation Strategies. He has written many articles on federal tax law, and he is the Closely Held Businesses and Valuation columnist for Estate Planning. He has been a frequent speaker at continuing education programs on tax law.

Bogdanski is a native of Newark, New Jersey. Newark is the largest city in New Jersey, United States and the County seat of Essex County. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Classical Languages and Literature from Saint Peter's College, New Jersey in 1975. He received his law degree in 1978 from Stanford Law School, where he was an editor of the Stanford Law Review and a member of the honor society The Order of the Coif.
