Isahaya Park (also known as Tutsuji or Azalaea Park)is in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. It was built on the ruins of Takashiro castle during the Taisho era. The, or Taishō era, is a period in the History of Japan dating from July 30, 1912 to December 25, 1926, coinciding with the reign The park is famous for its azalea blooms, and the "Azalea Festival" is held here, on and around April 10th every year. Azaleas are flowering Shrubs making up part of the genus Rhododendron. The park is also known for its "Spectacles bridge" over the pond. Meganebashi or "spectacles bridge" is a double arch stone bridge spanning a pond in Isahaya Park (also called Tsutsuji or Azalea Park in Nagasaki Prefecture The park is about 50 minutes by bus from Nagasaki city.
