She started her career when she joined a college band, named Tiara. They released a track called "Teleport Me" for the Green Label Collection CD, and an album called "Hi-Infidelity" in 2001, which included tracks like "Basketball" which is their biggest hit.

Late in 2001, Ira also released an album called "Butterfly", which included hits such as "Summerbreeze" featuring top Maltese dj J.
