Biography

"Revolutionary", Volume 1 and 2

In 2001, Immortal Technique released his first album CD, Revolutionary Vol. 1, without the help of a record label or distribution. Revolutionary Vol 1 is the debut album by MC Immortal Technique, released in 2001 and re-pressed in 2004 He self-financed, manufactured, and sold copies of the record on the streets. In November 2002, he was listed by The Source as the month's featured "Unsigned Hype", which highlights artists that are not signed to a record label. The Source is a United States -based monthly full-color Magazine covering Hip-hop music, Politics, and culture, founded in Unsigned Hype is a column in the Hip-hop magazine The Source devoted to identifying promising new rappers who do not have record deals The following year, in September 2003, he received the coveted "Hip Hop Quotable" in The Source for a song entitled "Industrial Revolution" from his second album. Consequently, since he did not have a record deal or distribution at the time, Immortal Technique is the only rapper in history to have a "Hip Hop Quotable" while being unsigned. He finally released his second album Revolutionary Vol. 2 in 2003 under Viper Records/Nature Sounds distribution on CD and double LP. Revolutionary Vol 2 is the second album released by rapper Immortal Technique and is a follow-up to his debut album Revolutionary Vol Nature Sounds is a Record label based in Brooklyn New York, specializing in hip hop and Reggae music A double album is an audio Album which spans two units of the primary medium in which it is sold (especially records and Compact Discs. Although, these lyrics are not the rantings of a conspiracy theorist who thinks George Bush was actually involved in the acts of 9/11, but is Immortal Technique recognising that the neo-con policies of the US administration are what led to the terrorist acts, and also the huge attacks they've inflicted on the working population of the US. ^[4]

Earlier the same year, Immortal Technique appeared (as himself) in the independent movie This Revolution, which is set during the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City, and chronicles the protests surrounding the convention in a pseudo-documentary style. This Revolution is a 2004 Political Film starring Rosario Dawson. The 2004 Republican National Convention, the presidential nominating convention of the Republican Party of the United States, took place from August The movie also featured Viper Records affiliates Akir and producer/engineer Southpaw in smaller speaking roles. In 2006, the song "Impeach the President", featuring dead prez and Saigon, emerged on the DJ Green Lantern mixtape Alive on Arrival. Dead prez is an underground Political hip hop duo comprised of Stic Brian Daniel Carenard, better known by his stage name Saigon, is an American rapper The song is basically a cover version of the 1973 single by The Honeydrippers as it uses the original chorus, but adds new verses in which the rappers express their wish that president George W. "The 3rd World"

Immortal Technique will be releasing the mixtape/album "The 3rd World" on June 24 on his own Viper Records imprint, which will be distributed by Koch Records. The 3rd World is a mixtape/street album from rapper Immortal Technique, following a five-year absence since Revolutionary Vol Koch Records, the primary subsidiary of Koch Entertainment LP is the largest Independent record label in the United States. It will be his first full-length in 4 years.
